Overview
Alexander Rose Elementary is a public school serving a diverse group of 550 students in PK-6 grades. Rose Elementary school provides a nurturing foundation which includes opportunities and guidance for their young students. The Escondido School District is investing in solar energy projects and hired EVA Green Power as a subcontractor to the general contractor. The district wanted to build a solar power system that also acts as a shading structure for the school playground, keeping students cool and comfortable while the system is providing renewable power to the school. The structure was approved by the California Department of State Architect (DSA).
